1. ActiLingua Academy: Back to school – Summer Special Offer

•  Re-opening ActiLingua Academy for adults 16+ from June 29, 2020

We are happy to inform you that our German courses for adults 16+ will take place again at the ActiLingua Academy in Vienna starting from June 29, 2020.

•  Re-opening ActiLingua Residence from May 29, 2020

The school-owned ActiLingua Residence has re-opened its doors again on May 29, 2020.

Summer Special Offer:
Book your Standard or Intensive Course with accommodation for the course period from July 05 – August 28, 2020 and we won´t charge the high season supplement! This offer is valid for new bookings made between June 11 and August 15, 2020. In order to benefit from this offer, please enter the code "Summer Special Offer" in the field for “special requests” when booking.

•  Holiday Course 16-19 years in Vienna from July 05 - August 15, 2020

We are happy that our Holiday Course 16-19 years can take place from July 05 - August 15, 2020.

The lessons take place in small groups for students aged 15-19 years. If there are not enough participants in one course level, the German lessons can take place together with the courses for adults 16+ in the ActiLingua Academy or dependance.

Accommodation with half-board in the ActiLingua Residence or in student house is included in the package.
15-year-old students can attend the Holiday Course if the legal guardian assumes the responsibility.

Please note that there is a difference between Holiday Course 16-19 and the Summer School:
Holiday Course 16-19 students are treated like young adults, there is no supervision in the evening and they can go away as long as they want. They can leave their accommodation on their own without requiring the written permission of the legal guardian.

•  Cancellation of Summer School 12-17

Unfortunately, the minimum number of participants for our Summer School 12-17 has not been reached. Therefore, we have to cancel our Summer School in Vienna 12-17 this year. But we have great alternatives for you in order to learn German with ActiLingua, as our Holiday Course 16-19 in Vienna for students older than 15 years or our live online classes for teens 12-17 years.

2. Book with confidence

•  New bookings

For new bookings between now and September 30, 2020 we will not charge any administrative or cancellation fees if we are informed in writing no later than 1 week before your course start (5 working days) that:
- You are not permitted to travel due to official travel restrictions from your home country.
- You are not permitted to travel due to entry restrictions into Austria.
- You have official medical proof of a positive COVID-19 test.

•  Re-booking and cancellation

Should a new lockdown be ordered by the Austrian government, students who are on site in Vienna can:
- Continue their course in one of our live online German courses.
- Receive a credit note for unconsumed course/accommodation services that have been paid for.

3. Live online German courses

In addition to our course offer in Vienna we also offer live online German courses. There are different options of live online courses for adults 16+, teens 12-18, German Teachers´ course, Certificate Preparation course for OSD or TELC, Business German course and German for adults 50+.

Many of our student choose our live online classes, because they prefer the opportunity of studying in small, international groups from home. They value the chance of learning German with a native speaker teacher in their free time in a familiar environment. 2 lessons of live online cultural programme are included each week, which gives the students additional insight into Austria's history and culture. Our live online classes are the ideal preparation for a future language course at ActiLingua Academy.

4. Current situation

The number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 has been declining in Austria for some time now, and so the country is on its way back to normal.

You can move freely in nature, play sports, visit parks and travel to other parts of the country - for example, take a trip to Salzburg. Shops, shopping centres as well as restaurants and cafés are open and can be visited by the public.

Museums all over the country have been reopened and you can enjoy culture and art again. There is also a timetable for the coming weeks so that cultural events can take place again. Events for up to 100 people are possible since end of May, also cinemas and gyms have re-opened. Nothing should stand in the way of your visit to a cultural event or enjoying your leisure time in Vienna this summer.

6. Safety and hygiene measures

The safety of all course participants and employees is our top priority. In the implementation of our safety guidelines, the highest level of student safety is key and group sizes and physical distance are designed in accordance with the applicable regulations. It is important to adhered to the physical distance guidelines and to wear a mouth-nose-protection at some indoor venues (e.g. public transport, health care).

This information is from June 10, 2020 and valid until further notice.
